First, a little William Holden trivia … According to IMDb (so it MUST be true), Holden was the best man at the wedding of Ronald and Nancy Reagan in 1952.

Best Actor, 1950’s Sunset Blvd. (lost to Jose Ferrer for Cyrano de Bergerac)

Best Actor, 1953’s Stalag 17  (winner)

Best Actor 1976’s Network (lost to Peter Finch for Network)
