Welcome to DAY TEN (What the?!  Is it really 1/3 over?) of the 2013 TCM Summer Under the Stars blogathon!

Today we will spotlight bloggers who will spotlight “Sweater Girl” Lana Turner!

First, a little Lana trivia: According to IMDb, Turner turned down the role of Laura Manion in Otto Preminger’s Anatomy of a Murder over a dispute with the director over the wardrobe she would be forced to wear.

SUTS and Oscar: Lana Turner was nominated for one Oscar – Best Actress for her performance in 1957’s Peyton Place. She lost to Joanne Woodward for The Three Faces of Eve.
